We’re planning the first-ever Spark Camp Festival this fall — and we are looking for two extraordinary people to work with us as planning gets underway:
Spark Camp Festival Coordinator
Description: The Festival Coordinator will work with the Spark Camp Team on various aspects of planning and executing the Festival, including:
— Scout local vendors (food, field trips, performers)
— Scout and help book performers
— Identify local extracurricular activities / locales for field trips
— Assist team in researching potential attendees and contact information for invitees
— Help coordinate and manage a volunteer team that will work on-site during the Festival
— Manage production of all printed materials
— Help with event logistics: securing A/V and other on-the-ground support, managing contracts and vendor relationships, coordinating and stuffing name tags, other materials
Requirements: The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has experience organizing large-scale events. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational abilities. The individual must be able to work remotely and join regularly scheduled team meetings. A sense of humor will go a long way.
This is a contract position, from April 2015 – October 2015. The Coordinator will need to attend the event (in an east coast city over Columbus Day weekend) be available on the ground the prior week. Candidates should be in touch via email: team /at/ sparkcamp.com.
Spark Camp Sponsorship Sales
Description: The Sponsorship Sales lead is responsible for finding qualified sponsors for the Festival. This person will:
— Work with Spark Camp Team to design a go-to-market strategy for sponsorship packages
— Create sponsorship opportunity collateral
— Prospect new leads, pitch and follow-up to secure sponsorships
— Follow-up on leads with potential sponsors identified by the team
— Coordinate inbound materials from sponsors
— Regularly report to Spark Camp Team on progress
Requirements: The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has experience selling sponsorships for large-scale events. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, keen business sense and strong organizational abilities. The individual must be able to work remotely and occasionally join regularly scheduled team meetings.
