We are in the midst of a significant rethinking of how news organizations should operate.
Organizational shifts like these are the inspiration for our upcoming Summit — Spark Camp Summit on Newsroom Leadership and Management. The Summit, which will be held at CUNY September 5-6, 2014 will focus on the future of newsroom leadership and management in a networked age.
Theme: Leadership and Management
The event is likely to discuss these pressing topics: What’s the role and importance of a company’s culture? How are cultures formed and kept vibrant? If the consequence of having autonomous and independent teams means your organization has many cultures, how do you retain a culture that unites? How do you support your increasingly independent employees to do their best possible work while making sure they’re operating in harmony with their peers?
Program:
Activities will take place at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, located at 230 W. 41st Street (between 7th and 8th Aves), New York. The Summit starts at 5pm on Friday, Sept 5. Dress attire is casual. Out-of-towners, bring running attire and shoes if you’d like to go for a jog in Central Park Saturday morning. You must have been invited to this event in order to attend.
